Jacob (Jake) Wilkins entered the financial services industry (officially) in 2006 working in his father’s financial planning business. Unofficially, he started much earlier than this! Jake started his career from the ground up, starting as junior receptionist and taking the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and experience during this time. Jake quickly progressed into roles which assisted the advisers (paraplanning, client services and adviser assistant) and in 2014, after completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Diploma in Financial Planning, Jake officially became a financial adviser.
Since then, Jake has developed a keen passion for helping Millennials (and really anyone seeking financial freedom) to define life on their own terms. He is strategy focused with a keen eye for problem solving and out-of-the-box solutions that others may simply dismiss as ‘too hard’. Jake is a holistic adviser which means that when solving one problem he is also looking at all the potential impacts his advice will have on the other areas of his client’s world. For example, the amount of insurance someone requires is tightly linked to how their budget, investments and superannuation are working. It also links directly to their planning needs (ie Life Insurance) and ensuring that at every step the components all add up to the whole.
Jake is married and lives in Brisbane with his wife, Bess. They have Border Collies named Wren and Aurora.
